Juice Fasting Voted Superior Detox System
That’s what Claudia Calvo, Hartford Healthy Food Examiner said.
Juice Fasting One of The Best Detox Systems
Remember the old saying "you are what you eat" or "what’s eating you", because maybe something really is. In today’s food industry, it’s pretty much true. Our society has forgotten to stay true to their bodies as far as what they consume. We’ve gotten used to propagandized food, forgetting that they spray the ground with pesticides, herbicides and synthetic fertilizers. It’s affected by the air around it and the water it’s given to grow. If it’s livestock it’s injected or fed chemically-based hormones or steroids. From there it’s shipped for processing (who knows how long that takes…) mixed with preservatives for shelf life (or is that shelf death?) stuffed into a box or a can and given an expiration date and placed on a shelf for consumption. Yum! The result is a body full of free-radicals, which are atoms with at least one unpaired electron that produce harmful oxidation that damage cell membranes, accelerate the aging process, and lead to certain ailments.
Thankfully mankind caught on pretty quickly what was going on. There’s a reason our society is so ill. That our children are being diagnosed with everything from allergies and asthma to ADHD/bi-polar in epidemic proportions. So then came along the "good foods"… we went organic, we went herbal. Then there was soy, or how about going "green"? ( It’s almost enough to keep one "in the box", if you know what I mean). It’s now recognized that eating and breathing produces free radicals, so therefore we need to eat foods that contain antioxidants to cleanse our system. Along came the discovery of antioxidants, riboflavins and the process of detoxification.
Detoxification affects every system our body has. It can alleviate allergies, aging, arthritis, bowel impairment, respiratory conditions. Our hair and skin change and we become more able to overcome environmental illnesses. The anti-aging properties alone makes it worth the while, after all, the more toxic we are the faster we age. To really regenerate we have to start our system over, which means detoxify. Clean up the inside and it will work it’s way to the outside. There are shelf cleansing kits..oh oh..are those chemicals? So the most highly recommended are more natural. Juice fasting is probably one of the best and most satisfying detox systems you can follow. It allows the digestive system to rest so it can fix other areas that need healing. It also allows our bodies to use up calories we have stored as fat. (Needless to say if your under a Doctors care you should always check first.) Water with freshly squeezed citrus, herbal teas, protein water and plain water in vast quantities refreshes the system. There are a couple of detoxing procedures that help the entire body.
1. Juice fasting – it allows the digestive system to rest so it can repair all the other areas that need to heal. Use organic fruits or vegetables if your making your own juice. Chemicals found in chemically grown produce become even more concentrated after juicing. Drink about the same amount of juices as you do water on a daily basis, eight ten-ounce glasses, and your body will be getting all the antioxidant vitamins, enzymes and minerals it needs. You can even blend some juices together to create a more satisfying, tasteful drink. Leave the pulp, it allows for a feeling of fullness and gives you the fiber you need. Do remember, your cleansing your body through your intestines and colon, therefore you may have times your tired or don’t feel to well, and your system is going to clean out and heal, so be ready! Most people choose to fast for two or three days to allow the colon to clean out completely. Below are some beneficial fruits and vegetables you can use.
*Apple – for most people it has a laxative effect. It also corrects liver and skin disorders and aids in digestion..
*Pineapple – has an anti-inflammatory effect due to the bromelain it contains. also alleviates arthritis symptoms.
*Beet – helps to nourish your liver, can’t live without that !
*Carrot – is high in antioxidants, as well as vitamins A,C, and E. It has healthy minerals, anti aging enzymes and beta-carotene. But beware…carrot juice is high in natural sugar, so be sure and dilute it if there’s a blood sugar
*Celery – can take the edge off your salt cravings, it has a higher sodium content. Put it in a juicer with some cayenne pepper to zest up!

2.Chelation therapy - which involves an intravenous drip of a man-made amino acid that enters the blood system and then attaches to metal in your body and escorts them out through the kidneys. Metals consist of calcium, lead, and mercury. Some even penetrate deep enough to latch onto the skeleton. Calcium accumulates in all the wrong place, including heart vessels. Chelation will take calcium and put it back into the long bones. It also clears blood vessels by removing blockages which allows more blood flow, which in turn allows the brain functions to improve.
3.Detoxing intestines - irrigation with a drink made of flaxseed, psyllium seeds and bentonite is colon cleansing at its best.
4.Detoxing the kidneys – echinaccea, corn silk and dandelion leaf are all beneficial and can be found as teas.
5.Detoxing the liver – milk thistle protects liver functions.
6.Detoxing the skin - remember, what goes in through our lungs works its’ way out through the skin. Our skin is our protective cover, so make sure the pores are not clogged by using a loofah or a bristle brush to ex foliate skin. Always brush in circular motions, to wards the heart and never brush thin facial skin.
As health is regained through detoxification your body is going to be more sensitive to the properties you put back into it to restore it, so a healthy diet is a must. The proper foods and nutrients must be ingested for the body to continue to heal. I’ll be writing on quite a few subjects to help guide you to better health. So keep checking in to stay updated.
